We advise applying cool compresses, warm water, or artificial tears without preservatives to wash the allergens away

Dr. Patel recommends always wearing sunglasses outside to block harmful culprits. If that doesn’t work, we suggest anti-inflammatory eye drops, allergy shots or antihistamine. Purify indoor air

Invest in an air purifier to stay free from allergens. During warmer months, we usually keep windows open more often, which can increase pollens entering the home. Purifiers help with indoor irritants as well, such as pet dander and dust.

Avoid contacts

If you suffer from seasonal allergies, it may help to switch from contacts to glasses, at least during certain times of year. In springtime, dust and pollen build up on your lenses, irritating sensitive eyes. Keep dry eyes in check via prescription eye drops, artificial tears, or special ointments that increase the production of your natural tears.
